What happens during a treatment

The acupuncturist will question you about your health and wellbeing, including your medical history.
You will then undress as necessary and lie on a treatment couch under a blanket. The practitioner will perform some diagnostic tests such as taking the pulse and inspecting the tongue. Once diagnosis is complete the needles are inserted. The needles can sting as they go in but once they are all in place the experience is pain free and relaxing. When the treatment is over you will be left to dress and though relaxed you should be able to get on with your day.

People often feel energised but if you have been burning the candle at both ends, the treatment
may leave you feeling inclined to have an early night. This effect can happen after the first one or
two treatments so plan to not have anything too strenuous to do afterwards. It is recommended that
you do not have a heavy meal, drink alcohol or exercise vigorously on the day you have your acupuncture.

My current fee is £45 pr hr.
